They answered that question in a scene from Season One that was cut for time. It's in the extras on the DVD.
Maybe I missed something or there was a cut scene they didn't reedit for, but when did Black Siren say her family died? When Green Arrow confronted her after the fight with Prometheus, he said they could find the woman she was before she lost her family together. All I recall her talking about her past was an…
It was a bit over the top. And yet, in one minute, she acted more like Dinah Lance in the comics than Laurel Lance - any version of her - ever did in 4 and a half years.
There's also her excellent non-verbal acting as she's watching "Laurel" take her drink.
One thing about the episode bothered me that I haven't seen any other critic mention.
Up until CW leaked a clip on The App that showed the rest of Team Arrow interacting with her, I was willing to bet Laurel was a hallucination caused by Susan slipping a mickey into Ollie's drink, based on…
He could maybe make transmute some of the components, but assembling them would still take time. And that's assuming he and Jax have fine control over the transmutation process at this point. We've only seen them changing big objects so far - and then only into water…
And this comment just reminded me of the glorious conversation in The Venture Bros. where Blade expy Jefferson Twilight says he doesn't know what the PC term for a black vampire when he points out that not all the black vampires he fights are from America, so he just calls them Blackulas after the movie.
Thank you. I still hold that 3 is the worst one because for all the problems caused by 4's low budget, at least the story was not completely idiotic by Silver Age standards.
I only had one problem with this episode - how the frack did Stein mass-produce all those "hurt the Dominator" devices so quickly?
Yeah. I have nothing against her personally. She's just never looked at ease on Arrow.
Somewhere on the Dominator ship…
I'm sorry, but even with a script that doesn't require her to do anything but wear a wedding dress and look sad, Katie Cassidy still has the perpetual expression of a woman who was just slapped in the face with a fish.
I thought it was Laurel who called Ray hot - not Sara.
>Speaking of which, it was a little odd to see members of the time-traveling superhero team lecturing Barry about the dangers of altering the timeline. I haven’t followed Legends Of Tomorrow too closely, but are they really that careful?
Legends is my favorite of the four CW Superhero shows right now and I'll be damned how it is slipping in the ratings and they're apparently moving it to Tuesdays after The Flash in January. Didn't they just order four more episodes because the show is doing so well?!
I don't think DC has the rights to that particular story, though they currently hold the Astro City license. But that would be neat.
To say nothing of him pointing out to Felicity - who really should have known better - That Oliver Queen is very well known for his ability to think through things before acting and listening to other people.
>Have the Superman/Supergirl comics ever explored aliens in this metaphorical way before? It strikes me as a very X-Men storyline with shades of Civil War thrown in for good measure.
