This piece by Mitchell and Webb is somewhat better known, and equally hilarious. The comedic timing is perfect.

B5 is an amazing show if you can survive the first season. :)

Fun fact about Seven of Nine’s catsuit. It took a good 25-30 minutes to don, so Ms. Ryan had to plan her pee breaks with care. If she suddenly had to go, “production would have to stop for an hour,” as she put it in an interview.

The delightful “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” might help you with Sam Neill. Funny and sweet and just lovely. :)

Last? Japan would like a word...

They’re re not perfect but Airbus seems to be more willing to develop products with modern solutions instead of leaning heavily on tradition like Boeing.

Six flight control computers plus a backup control. The backup control simply passes stick and pedal movements proportionally to the flight control surfaces without any processing. Control is rather sluggish because you only retain one aileron per side, the rudder and both elevators, but it is flyable.

The A320 and the A330 can be rebooted in a couple of minutes. The A350 has a way more complex electronic architecture. It takes 30+ minutes to reboot. Lots of checks and diagnostics running after the reboot.

Airliners go several months between heavier maintenance, but overnight and transit checks occur almost daily. These would include checking and replenishing fluids, checking tyres and brakes, and fixing minor issues. Plenty of opportunities to reboot the plane.

It isn’t going to drop out of the sky even if the operator doesn’t carry out either of the two options.

We actually don’t have an analog backup on the A350. There are three primary and three secondary flight computers, plus a backup. All digital.

Not really a big deal to be honest. Even a short-ish turnaround for a widebody would be an hour. Regular short-term maintenance and checks are performed at least every week.

Just so.

If you want some deceptively engaging videos critiquing archery in various movies and video games, look no further than NUsensei’s channel.

As you say, people who are in that profession or hobby can find all the nitpicks.

Fair warning. Ringo is rather pro-gun, pro-military, old-school right wing. (He isn’t anti-immigrant, racist, or sexist, however.) This shines through a bit more in some of his books, especially this series. Not that they’re political manifestos in any way, just that the characters have opinions.

Not a movie, but if you want a zombie story that has a bit more depth than “there are hordes of zombies and we must survive” (not that those stories can’t be lots of fun), I recommend John Ringo’s Black Tide Rising series. The protagonists actually make rational decisions, and the zombie apocalypse has realistic

“Wheelhouse...” I see what you did there. :)

He sure got to the bottom of the issue.
