Airlines would love pods or beds that pack more people in, and such solutions are looked at from time to time. The big hurdle is that they wouldn’t meet impact certification requirements.

Cycles indeed. Plus there’s neither a strict age nor a strict cycle limit. You can keep an airframe flying indefinitely as long as you perform the proper maintenance and parts replacement. It will cost more as time passes, but you can maintain an equivalent level of dispatch reliability if you want to spend that money.

I understand what you mean but it isn’t a “chance”. It’s not a lottery where your number is “up”. Aviation accidents are way more complex than that.

Cargo fire is indeed what keeps pilots up at night. Lithium batteries especially are not the nicest things when they catch fire in batches.

I’m saying success criteria in China may be different due to cultural differences.

Skype used to be fine but it has been left languishing in decline by Microsoft. I still use it only when I need to call a phone number abroad.

LINE is great. As you say really big in Japan but not uncommon in the rest of East and Southeast Asia.
