US domestic carriers call it first class, but seat-wise it is more like what most Asian or European carriers would call “regional business”. Nowhere near business class on BA, CX or SQ, and miles from international first class.

If nothing else, it’s a lot more interesting than looking at the Google Search page every time you launch a new tab.

AFAIK a hovercraft is built to float even with the engines off, but not as well as a boat.

Here’s the full list of countries where the game currently cannot be sold: Japan, Malaysia, Botswana, Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Uganda, Bangladesh, China, Lebanon, South Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Iceland, Ukraine, Russia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Guyana, Iraq, Dubai,

Agreed. It took me a couple of minutes, and maybe five minutes for my mother and my wife. Now I’m just glad there’s no home button taking up space.

Netflix is smart. They’re trying to maximise revenue, not give us all the choices we would like. ;)

Apparently not that bad. Of course, designs in the 30s weren’t quite as optimised as modern ones. There was a lot of leeway, especially in really good ones like the DC-3.

The infamous DC-2½, when CNAC bolted a DC-2 wing to a DC-3. The right wing of a DC-3 was destroyed by a Japanese bomb, and the only available plane for spares was a DC-2.

While there are many risks, trampolining is also loads of fun. One of the issues seems to be with the inherent risks in the design, e.g. exposed springs, lack of safety net.

For newborn to 3 months, get button-up (double-breasted) onesies instead of slip-over-head onesies.

+1 on loving the Ladyhawke soundtrack. Love that film.

You wouldn’t find anything like those breadsticks in Italy either.

Or even better, if it is multiple lanes going in the same direction and cars in the further lane from the pedestrian are going by at speed. Yeah, sure... Just wave me on... What do I do when I pass your car, then?

Don’t forget the Italians

Installed a whitelist app a couple of years ago and it is brilliant. Went from 3-4 spam calls a day to maybe one a month.

If you ever have the opportunity to fly on Emirates, Qatar, Singapore Airlines or a number of others, I think you will find that First Class is very much “concierge service”. Business on same carriers is also quite delightful.

US first class or International First Class? US first class is barely at the level of regional business class in the rest of the world.

Germanwings 9525 might have been prevented if regulations had stated that two persons must be in the cockpit at all times.

Which is also making me wonder how often those planes get, y’know, cleaned.
