It’s not about sexualising kids. It’s about teaching them about their bodies.

Children typically travel as “unaccompanied minors” at no extra charge.

That’s only because more people travel on the average airliner than in the average car.

If you eat normally the day before, your body will have plenty of energy reserve unless you’re running more than a half marathon in the morning. Glycogen reserves don’t start to deplete until about 90 minutes into exercise.

I’ll chime in with the vitamins and minerals. I can last all day without food*, exercise or not, but especially when it is warm I have to be careful about nutrients such as magnesium. Maybe try some zero-calorie electrolyte tablets. I often dissolve one in my workout water bottle.

I can’t even imagine the amount of money it would take to get this thing flying again, but I think it’s safe to say the aircraft will be kept intact (if it’s kept at all) for historical museum purposes only and never soar again.

Converting thrust to HP is notoriously finicky because they measure different things. Thrust is a measure of a force exerted on an object while horsepower is a measure of work performed, which is the amount of motion a force creates when exerted on a body over a defined period of time.

Agreed. Fasting for me is more like 20 hours minimum. Anything less than that is pretty much just pausing between meals. :)

Weirdly enough, that’s how a proper eating pattern works. You learn to mentally control hunger pangs, and after a couple of weeks you mostly don’t get them anymore. If you do feel hungry at the “wrong” time, you don’t immediately reach for food, but wait it out for a bit.

This. Exactly this.

Many jobs are like that with time. I know plenty of pilots who see their jobs as a chore, which is a far cry from the all-consuming passion for aviation they had when they started flying.

Excellent... :)

Indeed. Part of parenting. But you can use this situation to your advantage! Make it into gentle lessons on where on the body it is appropriate to touch acquaintances/family/partners, as well as when and in which locations.

Well explained.

Sure, it’s natural to be a little squeamish when saying these words to a child.

IMHO “slightly more” is incompletely advice. If your system at full tilt uses, says, 400W, it probably uses less than half that at idle. Are you a gamer/poweruser or not? If you are, then you’re often closer to the full tilt number.

I know they’ve made lots of improvements but unless it somehow morphed into an entirely new and different game I don’t see how it could be anything but dull, dull, dull....

Obligatory...

Fair dinkum.

I would argue that reading The Churn after book 2 or 3 might be better, despite breaking strict chronology. I think Amos works better if he has a mysterious background at first, and then you fill out some of that.
