Because the Alien AI or whatever can’t see inside the ships? Because the ships are hermetically sealed? Pick one or both.

Sela Ward. What a presence. A treasure.

I was sold on Jennifer Lee when I saw her reaction to Josh Gad’s Olaf line starting at the 4:10 mark. It shows real joy and passion, something many executives lack.

I can’t even imagine the amount of money it would take to get this thing flying again, but I think it’s safe to say the aircraft will be kept intact (if it’s kept at all) for historical museum purposes only and never soar again.

Converting thrust to HP is notoriously finicky because they measure different things. Thrust is a measure of a force exerted on an object while horsepower is a measure of work performed, which is the amount of motion a force creates when exerted on a body over a defined period of time.

Agreed. Fasting for me is more like 20 hours minimum. Anything less than that is pretty much just pausing between meals. :)

Weirdly enough, that’s how a proper eating pattern works. You learn to mentally control hunger pangs, and after a couple of weeks you mostly don’t get them anymore. If you do feel hungry at the “wrong” time, you don’t immediately reach for food, but wait it out for a bit.

This. Exactly this.

Well put.

One of my favourite things about The Expanse, both book and series, is that humans don’t have the know-how to manipulate inertia, while the protomolecule does.

Delta-V is an acceleration unit, not a speed unit. The speed limit is (presumably) relative to the central “ball”. I’m assuming the construct doesn’t care how fast something accelerates as long as it doesn’t exceed the speed limit.

Fair dinkum.

Indeed. Because Amos.

Don’t throw grenades at the alien machines please!

Nope. That is not the explanation. Things are a bit more complex.

I could be wrong, but I don’t consider “the character is still around in future novels” much of a spoiler...

You underestimate daddy issues. And women with daddy issues.

Many jobs are like that with time. I know plenty of pilots who see their jobs as a chore, which is a far cry from the all-consuming passion for aviation they had when they started flying.

Ahem...

As mentioned below it depends on the broadcasting network.
