Weirdly enough, that’s how a proper eating pattern works. You learn to mentally control hunger pangs, and after a couple of weeks you mostly don’t get them anymore. If you do feel hungry at the “wrong” time, you don’t immediately reach for food, but wait it out for a bit.

IMHO “slightly more” is incompletely advice. If your system at full tilt uses, says, 400W, it probably uses less than half that at idle. Are you a gamer/poweruser or not? If you are, then you’re often closer to the full tilt number.
