Oh please no more Shea! She was my least favorite character & so incredibly annoying/whiny/ inconsistently motivated I fast forward her scenes even though I hate to cause I love me some Tyrion. NOOOOOOO!!!!

Yes. I often watch tv right before going to bed. Could not do that with Hannibal, it followed me into my dreams/nightmares!

Yes, the expectation of always being available thing really bothers me too. Not just in work, but also in personal life.

The fact that our mistakes follow us forever on the internet/computers bothers me and makes it that much harder to move on from those mistakes.

Oh man, I never looked at it that way before, but you are so right!
Another life lesson at The AV Club…

As a woman who can be quite skittish after having had several bad experiences, I agree with most of the advice here. Take it slow, enjoy it for what it is & don't overanalyze. I know, for me, what often kills a budding romance is too many questions about that relationship. As long as she is following through on plans,

Yeah, I was baffled by the choice of 90s bands people wanted. What? But what about Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Janes Addiction, REM??? This is a good explanation. Also, side note, in 1990 I lived on 13th Street above Nightingales and The Spin Doctors played there like once a month under an assumed name… ugh. And yes I am one

Xaro Xhan Ducksauce made me spit out my coffee laughing on this too early morning. Thanks for that!

Yeah, well to the military-industrial complex "Peace Train" is a MONSTER!!!

"The anger came as I watched our leaders at the time react. I saw our ugliest, basest desires and reactions being encouraged. I saw thinking and questioning being treated as treason. I saw entire groups of humans being blamed for the actions of such a small number. And then I saw us go into two wars. I saw us become

Those and "Under the Bridge" by RHCP and "Brain Stew" by Green Day… what?

Perk is also a way to make coffee, with a percolator.
Edit: Someone already states this downthread. D'oh.

Ha. Me too…

I made the mistake of reading Cormac McC's The Road when I was camping alone on an island. Big freaking mistake. Could not sleep at all. Can't even look at the book cover anymore. Surprised, since I read King camping & not been so scared!

OMG! I watched it last night & have been exploding to talk about it. So fucking incredible!!!! Only 8 more hours or so!!! Of course, I'll be at work when the review finally posts, sigh. But see you there!

Thank you. I was trying to think how to explicate that exact same thought. How much is the backlash to Kayne's supposed arrogance a racial thing? I think a lot.

How the West Was Won… is one of my favorites from that album. New Test Leper not so much. But I would rather have more songs, since somebody likes the ones I don't.

I moved to the Bronx from Brooklyn about 8 years ago. I had already been pushed way out to southern Brooklyn. I am hoping, praying (without conviction) that I won't get gentrified out of the Bronx eventually. Cause I got no place else left to go in NYC.

I'm a big fan of Around the Sun too. So glad to meet another fan, it is not a popular opinion!
Also cannot stand "Everybody Hurts" it's just not a good song - well below what I expect from one of my favorite bands.

In Rainbows in my favorite.
