I'm the same way, I understand why, for the reason you mention, but it always bugs me too.

I'm not sure why you mention the Ottomans, is there a comment somewhere I'm not seeing? Yes, they invaded Greece about a millennium & a half later.

March against Mosquitoes was my favorite! Have to be able to laugh once in a while in the face of these fucking losers. Yesterday in the 300 thread someone pointed out - paraphrasing- the absurdity of the alt-right identifying with the small group of underdogs fighting against a superpower - and the reply that white

Yes, the skin tones are offensively wrong even by modern standards for Greeks and Persians. And it really made me hate the movie.
But, for the history… the Indo-Europeans, generally from northern Russia and the Caucasus regions are believed to have arrived in Anatolia (central Turkey) around 2400BC they become known

I never saw 300, but I was dragged to the sequel by friends, and the skin tone thing drove me crazy. Every "Greek" hero was pasty white with blue eyes - fuck that shit - as someone from a Med background… the "whitening" of my ancestors seriously pisses me off.

I get it, Imitrex is the godsend for me. Ugh, I used to get migraines that kept me under the bed for days. And even with the Imitrex, I have to stay home & be quiet (migraines completely fuck up my ability to process language). So people using migraines as a fake excuse really pisses me off!!! No, it's not just a "bad

New Yorker here, New York Italian food is pretty terrible, unless you have a boatload of money to spend and even then it's only so-so. As is almost everything else about our crappy city. But at least I'm not forced to own a car.

Seth Meyers did a piece on this exact topic last night.

I used to think that too. But I've begun to think Trump's cult of personality is more dangerous. I don't think Pence would be able to get away with the things Trump does, he won't have so many blind followers & I don't think he could get re-elected… whereas, Trump… I have no faith in Americans.

There were more giants in the far background. I think it was just supposed to be a generic rotting undead giant… & his buddies.

Jupiter Ascending was my perfect middle of the day birthday movie a few years ago - I know exactly how you feel. Enjoy!

You are evil, but I do love remembering being on that stage, even for insipid 80s musicals… so evil in a good way. I still love to be on the stage, even in my current capacity…. Ah Ha Ha Ha ha ha HAH!

Oh my God, bmoore4026, I was in "Girl for All Seasons" too!!! As a fucking Christmas tree. You have given me Grease 2 PTSD!!!!!! I had blocked it all out!!!

Urgh. Until this very comment, I had completely forgotten my dance school did an abbreviated musical every year, one year it was Grease 2. My jazz class did our routine to that damn song. Somewhere in the back of my brain, I know that song cold, with accompanying choreography, and it will be in my head all night now.

I wish more restaurants would adopt the "half-plate" option that is very common in Italy, or tapas in Spain. I often want to try something new, but am less likely to, if I have to order the entire plate. With this option, I've tried new things, loved them & returned to that restaurant. I don't know about the

Chicken fingers or hamburgers for your last meal? Damn that is so very sad.

Yes, the American hangup with smells drives me crazy! I'd prefer any natural smell over the smell of fucking Fabreze (is that spelled right? I don't use it). We have a lot of Indian customers where I work & the other girls all complain that they smell like curry & I'm like, what is the problem, curry smells delicious!

As a mostly vegetarian, people are always trying to get me to eat the veggie sushi, but I can't stand the seaweed too! I like some fish, so I can eat the sashimi. But one, maybe two, pieces is really enough for me. I usually get stuck with the veggie tempura or prefer to go to a different kind of restaurant altogether!

Not falling that again!

I haven't seen Z yet. But I really enjoyed Baby Driver. It's pretty viseral, so it's great on the big screen. The girl sitting next to me spent much of the movie tensely pitched forward & hanging on to the arm rests. I did a little of that too. And the sountrack- scoring were really so good & it would be a lesser
