Halo has 100x the cultural footprint of Destiny and Joust combined. My 7 y-o has never played any of these games, but walks past a Master Chief Halloween costume (FFS!) and knows it’s Halo and thinks it’s cool.

I really enjoy these articles, but some of the complaints in this article made me think Tom re-read the script, but hadn’t rewatched the film in a couple years. That or a lot of his complaints were made intentionally over-dramatic.

My fraternity didn’t haze; worst thing we had to do was memorize the founding members and fundamental virtues. I guess we had to set up and help with chores, but only at the same rate as the older members.

Totally agree with you. I’m not the stodgy, anti-fun Boomer type (pay the players! TD celebrations: more the merrier!), but this creates bad incentives. So much of MMA is based on jujitsu and the culture around it that I think that’s where the dollars will tend to flow. I thought it was really funny. Now, dark comedies might be the genre I enjoy the most consistently, so I’m hardly a tough sell, but I laughed out loud a few times per episode. My girlfriend and I both enjoyed it.

I was already laughing at the story, but your comment pushed me into tears. 

I don’t recall him ever winning a title. Always rooted for him; incredible balance, and an exciting fighter. Watching the video with no context, apparently he might not be the nicest guy.

I’m always surprised by what looks great on the TV, and what only looks great on the handheld. Mario Kart is fine in hand, but gorgeous on a big screen, but then BoTW looks dazzling in hand, but like absolute garbage when full-sized.
