Not to mention “lets reuse content we already made (for d1)” is so engrained into the D2 content pipeline that you’d have to forgive fans for being skeptical that it WASN’T unreleased TQW content repurposed for lightfall.

Strand was so poorly integrated into Lightfall that we all assumed it must’ve been shoehorned in because they couldn’t get it ready in time for Witch Queen, but now that we know that Strand was designed for Lightfall the whole time this just makes Bungie seem even more incompetent. Like there’s zero explanation why…

If this is true, then that just makes the integration of Strand in Lightfall feel even more ham-fisted. Thematically, Strand just fits better in Witch Queen’s narrative IMO. 

They point to its green color—Witch Queen’s DLC was covered in shades of green from the trailers to the Queen’s world—and also suggest the power’s focus on threads and connections fits better with 2022’s expansion.

Very true, though when the criminal films themselves openly committing the crime and publicizes the video on social media it probably helps expedite the process in most cases.
