Boys fight from time to time, that's what we do. It's a masculinity thing, though I have always favoured words over fists. Hitting girls however is the lowest form of masculinity and all boys should be taught this from a young age, not have it excused as it is so often here as, oh they are siblings leave them.

I would say that in contrast most French people believe France and themselves to be the centre of the universe. But that's not the topic. French parents expect the schools to educate their children and that includes etiquette and social responsibility.

I agree, and these adults are just children who were never taught respect. This is why all children should be taught etiquette, so they become decent respectable adults.

I live in France, a country renowned for not understanding personal space. But this isn't the only difference in etiquette. I used to think everyone here was rude and noe realize it's just a difference in priorities. That said I am trying to educate as many as a can.

I have reluctantly had to use gandi.net 3 times now, (french customers, love rubbish french companies, just cause they are french. Service doesn't matter.)
