There's this one part of the Chattanooga aquarium's jellyfish exhibit where they do this thing with mirrors and a huge wall tank in a darkened room that looks like you are just in a sea of jellyfish times infinity. You don't even need to be high for that one.

I live in Chattanooga! Thanks for the shout-out!

I have no idea what is normal, but "Can I have another" just sounds ungrateful. It's free candy!

Which is exactly why my mom put effing gumdrops in our Christmas stockings for years. No one else liked them but her. (Smarties are tasty, though, except for the purples.)

Good luck! I quit a couple of years ago using nicotine gum. The main thing that helped was trying to change the way I thought of myself. I was simply not a smoker, just as I am not a person that would ever try meth or beat up old ladies or steal from charity. That, plus changing my habits to not revolve around

I was about to ask the same thing. I miss her! Wonder what she's doing now.

Glad you found birth control that works for you, but I just got my Mirena removed in July (very happy with it, but wanted kids), and I got pregnant right away. IUDs are safe and fully reversible contraception!

Oh, and I forgot to mention: I wouldn't have even thought of an IUD except my primary care doctor suggested it would be good for someone like me with breast cancer in my family. The pill is systemic, which may increase the chances of breast cancer; the Mirena only administers hormones to the area that needs it.

I got a Mirena last year (no kids), and I freaking loved it. Insertion was not my most fun day ever, but it was worth not having to worry about pills anymore, and not getting a real period for 12 months. When my husband and I decided to start trying for kids a little earlier than we'd originally planned, I had it

Aw, I didn't know about all that! I was planning on buying JC Penney couches because they are good quality for the price and made in the US. (In fact, since we live so close to the factory, we'll get free delivery.) Now I have more reasons to feel good about my future sofa!

Interesting. Did he provide practice opportunities & tutoring anyway? I could see offering homework and not grading it, because the effort towards practicing skills and knowledge would be evident in quizzes and tests, but then I would be afraid that students would do nothing and then parents & administrators would

Absolutely. I see a lot of comments here stating that students shouldn't do the work they deem bullshit. While that is preferable to outright cheating, I don't think students realize that the teacher has a LOT more expertise in that subject matter than they do, and assignments are seldom given for no reason.

Dude, I was about to make a comment to the same effect. I teach high school. A lot of the emphasis now is on "engaging learning" and every freaking lesson has to be this exciting revelation for our students. Sounds good on paper, but practically speaking, a lot of learning is going to be rote memorization and will

I showed it to my husband and now he is both fascinated & confused by the idea of contouring.

Oh, thank you. For the past day or so I have been mystified by the comments, and I thought no one else was noticing it because I couldn't find any comments ABOUT the comments! Madness! I has it.

I know! I will be guarding my Samantha doll with my life, though I am in mourning for the outfits & doll furniture I never got. She was my favorite. :(

Omg, PLEASE go to Paris. If you let people give you money for a honeymoon and then do something drastically different with it, you have just lied to your guests. And that is no bueno.

Oh, I hope it doesn't become a pattern!

Thanks! With the teaching or with the househunting?

I just found the perrrrfect house but my realtor hasn't texted me back to see if I can see it in person tomorrow! Decent neighborhood, 1920s but updated classy-like, close to downtown & my job & church, I wouldn't even have to change my liquor store (they know and love me), AND it's under budget. My wanting is
