Black Captain America is cool. The idea of a Tuskegee type program to create a super soldier is a nifty idea and from what I have seen the execution has been solid.

My blood type is B, so that means I was born to be a bad guy.

Gunned down in an alley outside the opera while their child is watching.

Never quite got that, as what we call today Palestinians are also Semites. Meh, whatever.

Absolutely. Falstaff would be outstanding.

Jack Aubrey. That guy could drink. Start before dinner with a madiera (or maybe beer, depending on who is watching). A claret over dinner. The ladies leave the table when the port comes out. Have some coffee. Then hit the brandy. All drunk out of silver polished to a supernatural sheen by Preserved Killick.

I put Vista on a laptop last year, with all the recent service packs. It was OK. I could see running it - now that there have been a number of fixes.

I've been using Windows 8 touchscreen for a year or so. It's not that bad. It does take a few weeks to get used to though.

The Japanese literally dropped bubonic plague on the city of Ningbo during the war and tried to do the same to the US mainland using weather balloons. They also used neurotoxin gas weapons, which was expressly and knowingly authorized by Emperor Hirohito.

The Big Rock Candy Mountain

Sluggy Freelance. I used to love that comic. But it's really hard to follow now. I force myself to read faithfully and still subscribe as a DofN, but it's hard to follow. I find myself looking forward to Pete's next work.

It certainly sounds like a rocky relationship.

Agreed.

Perhaps it will be better with a new Doctor. But the last few seasons have been quite bad in comparison with the first seasons, especially season one. Doctor Who has always been a kids' show. But episodes lately have been deliberately pandering to children, which neither children nor adults care for.

This felt a lot like recent Doctor Who. Which is to say childish and poorly plotted.

That's not exactly an exclusive list. T. Herman Zweibel is probably on that list.

Whatever. It's not been funny since Craig Kilborn left.

I'm tired of hearing Ender's NAME!

So, AVClub. When are we bringing this back?

I came to AVClub today, looking for the Futurama review, a little mad at myself that I forgot to record it last night.
