I was more inclined to believe that when I initially read the book, but Mark Frost was making such a big deal of it at personal appearances (especially with regards to the discrepancies involving Annie) that it's hard not to think that there's SOMETHING going on. When we finally see Norma I wonder if we'll get a clue.

I think in a town like Twin Peaks, James is cool by virtue of the fact that he never tried to kill, molest, kidnap, beat, pimp out, or manipulate any of his girlfriends. And he has the voice of an angel.

Why would Bob need to when the doppelganger is already evil?

That narrative was changed a long time before now, I'm afraid.

Completely off topic, but does anyone else have issues with the site randomly logging you off and then back on under a different account? It keeps switching between my old AV Club account and my normal Disqus name.

I would have assumed that from the beginning except that Frost was REALLY playing up the differences in various appearances. Most notably the ones regarding Annie.

I thought the same exact thing.

I'm not insulted, more flattered that David Lynch would care enough about me to purposefully screw with me. ;)

If you have an evil doppelganger in the first place, why does it need to be a vessel? It also just doesn't fit in with what we know about Bob. There was no "Good Leland" in the Lodge when Bob was running around in his body. And meanwhile the word doppelganger is used about 40 times over the course of three episodes

You're not wrong, of course. We're at Peak Tit.

Some women just don't show much. In those sweaters, who could even tell?

Pretty sure this was filmed before Riverdale. And that David Lynch would never watch Riverdale.

I miss the cast credits, I don't know why. I just liked being reminded of how great everyone was.

He looks much like the sooty man above the convenience store in FWIW and there's reason to believe he's connected with the Log Lady and her log.

Agreed. The conversation he has with Dad in the original series was too moving to be discarded that way.

And Bob appears in many other character's visions. I don't consider that "proof" of anything, at least not moreso than the 10 minutes of Cooper running around after himself in the Lodge in the Finale or the fact that there is still a "Good Coop" in the Lodge in the first place, which certainly wasn't the case with

That…isn't true. Or at least not as certainly as you seem to think.

The rarest book of all is the "Access Guide." I wonder if it hasn't been rereleased because they're afraid of annoying the booksellers who are chargin outlandish prices for it on the 'net. (I have it from the 90s, and no, I am not cashing in on it.)

I have been surprised that the series thus far doesn't seem to be taking the same route as the book, which conspicuously "rewrote" Twin Peaks' history in multiple places. I was sure there was going to be an explanation for that.

Jacques bit the big one, baby. As in, the pillow. He was pillowed to death.
