Remember when ROM defends his own planet from Galactus and then shows Galactus where the dire wraiths planet is and tells him to go eat it? ROM is the shit.

Just thought I'd mention this because I usually do anytime someone brings up Rom, but the guy who wrote the delightful ROM comic was hurt in horrible car accident years before and pretty much needs constant care. The comics industry is not known for paying its workers well or providing them with any sort of continued…
I'd say with American Beauty its the product of a screen writer with one idea, and an idea he explored much more effectively in Six Feet Under.
this is the best comparison I've ever heard.
That final scene is truly excellent. Season 8 was a return to form overall in my opinion but that scene stands miles above everything else they did on the show. It it had ended there "My Finale" would be remembered as one of the best series finales of all time, sadly we got Scrubs: Med School. Which….ugh
I always felt like the Old Man viewed Saul as his fuck up kid brother. He loves him enough that he has just accepted that Saul will constantly disappoint him and there's nothing he can do to change it. So he'd rather Saul stay close so he can at least keep an eye on him.
I always found that it never really gave me enough context to spoil anything, but I understand why so many people disliked them.
That's what this show did so well. The characters weren't necessarily the best of humanity, they were just the ones that were still alive. Some of them were extraordinary commanders and warriors but most of them were just people thrust into a horrible situation
Sorry about that, reading my response I can definitely see that it comes off as me disagreeing with you.
Very good! I've unfortunately barely had time to interact with this website. Largely because I never have time to watch tv anymore. Still doing grad work at U of M and now happily married. How are you?
how cryptic of you
Mad Love is an incredible comic and I would not argue you on that claim. TDKR is somehow one of the best Batman stories and also probably the most overrated Batman story.
It is possible for both of them to be very good Batman writers….
Yeah, I fail to see how a woman who was driven insane by a mad-man who then emotionally abused her for years can be a Mary Sue.
I don't like what Harley has largely become but I found her to be incredibly compelling in her original incarnation. Also, if you think the man who wrote "Heart of Ice" is a hack, you do might be the one who doesn't know shit about Batman.
or better yet, a car battery
Its definitely one of the best runs that no one really talks about. It doesn't help that it was happening opposite the Morrison run over on Batman…which I hear was kind of popular.
Oh god Heart of Hush, what I fucking batshit story. It's kind of terrible but I also kind of love it.
The only thing that prevents them from doing so is energy shields. It is largely innefective against Klingon or Romulan ships who use the same shield technology as the Federation, but it proved to be an effective tactic against the borg.
Its a bigger scandal than when Tommy Two-Toes left Two-Faces crew and took Jimmy Inquistive's spot with the Riddler!
