Yeah its basically "Jim Lee draws: Batman's Greatest Hits". Of the overrated Jeph Loeb year long "mysteries" I prefer Long Halloween (which is also gorgeous), but Hush is orobably the better gateway

Hush is a great comic if you've never read any batman stories before. Once you start reading other stories you start to realize that everything in that comic had been done before and done better. Like you said though, Jim Lee drew the hell out of it.

I think most of Millar's work is a joke to him. Everything he's written since Ultimates has seemed like he was just giving the finger to his audience and laughing all the way to the bank.

I really want a Wolverine movie that adapts his first meeting with Jubilee. It's a solid action story and Dad!Wolverine is my favorite wolverine.

Raising Jubilee

I like the idea of it and I enjoyed the first issue. Also it's gorgeuous; Steve Mcniven draws the hell out of that comic. It just quickly descends into Millar's worst tendencies in my opinion.

On a related note: do you think students at the Xavier's school got any sort of viable education for the real world? Or was it like a weird version of homeschooling where they'd show up to the first day of college with an extensive knowledge the miracles of magnetism but without knowing basic arithmetic?

Who would have thunk I'd be grateful for Marvels horrible business and creative decisions in the mid to late 90s

Yeah, his body really needs to go under extensive study. I volunteer…….for science.

I'm still annoyed that they mad DofP a Wolverine story when it should have been a Shadowcat story. Kitty is my favorite x character and she's gotten zero love from these movies.

That was the rumor but they only announced two inhumans books compared to at least five x titles. They don't seem very committed to that idea

That is usually the answer

X2 was pretty much "WOLVERINE…..and some X-Men"

Old Man Logan is one of the better Mark Millar comics. Which means I only put it down in disgust 10-15 times over the course of reading it. How did the protege of Morrisson fall so far? How did it come to this?

So what you're saying is it's a Mark Millar comic?

He's not 13 though? That was a joke in the article, but they have said many times that this ,Ovid is set in high school.

I assume Kingpin will be involved on the fringes at least. When bad things happen to Matt Murdock Wilson Fisk is pretty much always involved.

Sin City never clicked for me, but I do recognize that it was generally a well made comic so yeah your probably right about that, 1995-2000 is about the time Frank Miller was replaced by whatever we have now.

Well Elektra's most famous arc involved her death so I'd say very little odds she survives the season. If they announce a bullseye in the coming days I'd put the odds at around 0. Hopefully Karen lives though…unless they decide to adapt that godawful Kevin Smith comic.
