C8 Z06 would like a word...

The reason why is because its a fabulous chassis with a huge trans tunnel and overbuilt rear axle. It’s 500 pounds less than a Corvette and takes a small block easier than any other small car. The fact that the stock engines like to turn the chassis into a roller with high regularity means that the LS swap industry

David Croft is awful and nearly ruins every F1 race for me.

It was a movie prop, if memory serves me right. Real 747 (I’m guessing fatigued out), but clearly modded for that odd twin engine thing.

Bridges are always incredible to me. Even more impressive to me are the ones that take large hits from freighters or barges and just rip them to shreds. They aren’t really designed for that loading direction but still manage to escape (apparently) unscathed.

Most people who follow racing even the slightest amount have heard of all of those people. These are not obscure racers at all. Ribbs is maybe the only one who isn’t as well known, but he definitely should be.

This was perfect. Bravo.

They are a different breed.

My owner’s manual lists a weight of 2844 pounds with one occupant, and full gas tank. The supplementary manual (how very German) provided for my exact model lists 2775 pounds with the same stipulation. The assumed driver is 175 pounds. So depending on which number you use, 2600-2669 with a full tank of gas. With a

Yeah, and watch a Miata race a bigger course against this or literally any other sports car. Neither of these cars are fast, so driving pleasure counts in a big way and the inline 6 provides a different experience than the Miata. For me, I was shopping both and went for the BMW. I have never regretted my choice. I

They’re not that heavy. My 2.8 is about 2650 pounds. The inline 6 makes all the difference in the world and for a fun car around back roads, there is no way I’d trade that for the Miata’s chassis.

This is insanity. I bought an example every bit as nice as this for $6200.

Wow...that’s quite a bit more unfortunate looking than I was hoping for :(

Dude, sick drift mod. #stancelyfe

I imagine it would look like the Ranger.

Crazy idea...read the article?

As I said in my comment...it’s simply the least Lotus car there is. It’s also one they are nearly certain to botch horrendously.

This is about the least Lotus car possible. It also has less interest to me than nearly anything else they could do. I must be getting old.

The predator stuff is largely excellent these days. Easily some of the best things they sell.

I have a good feel for this, as I just purchased a nearly-flawless 1998 BMW Z3 2.8 for $6200 (with new power top and 105k miles, so very similar to this). The ups being that I think the Z3 styling is rather timeless once a set of BBS-style wheels go on and the M52/manual combo is certainly cooler than a boosted 4.
