Not exactly road rage per se, but it was still car related anger. Also, I admit it's not as much of a story as others here, but it's the best I've got. Washington State tends to be a pretty easy-going place.

Yeah, really. Just hearing these stories makes me want to mod my car more so that I can outrun these fuckwads. I mean, I've had someone get pissed at my friends while we were road tripping because we wouldn't cut someone off to let them through, but that's about it.

Another thing that gets me is farmers paid to NOT FARM. We need to get rid of that subsidy as well.

As you can see, I spend much more time paying attention to chassis and suspension than I do drivetrains.

Oh yeah, that's right. I still think the T-56 would be a potentially better addition.

The point is cheap, easily upgradable power. I'd be willing to bet that the 6.2 can support 800 hp without structural mods, provided that the rotating assembly is forged. It doesn't need to handle particularly well as a straight-line special.

And that's exactly why Mercury died. Mercury was supposed to combat those marks, not Lincoln. I mean, why buy a Mercury when the Taurus had that much luxury, and the MKS wasn't much more? Lincoln overlapped both Ford and Mercury in that regard, rendering Mercury useless.

I like your thinking. A rwd V8 Fusion would be incredible. So basically a 2-door Falcon for the american market?

Alternatively, Ford could also cram the Fusion's AWD system into a Focus along with a 2.0L Ecoboost tuned to 300 hp and call it the Focus RS. Or just use the AWD Fusion with that same powertrain with a manual transmission. An SVT Fusion would definitely be a good idea, especially for those of us who want something

How about tossing Ford's newish 6.2 truck motor into the Mustang with a T-56 from the GT500 and calling it the Mach 1? That motor has great power potential and seems like it would respond well to mods. A Mach 1 could even use the V6 suspension for better weight transfer as a drag racer. Ford's got all the parts for

I was actually talking about the San Juans in Washington's Puget Sound. I believe it was a 4-passenger Cessna, but to me it sounded like his pilot was an idiot.

My uncle was killed in a situation somewhat similar to this. Working in the San Juan Islands one day, and the only way in or out was by plane. Pilot decided to take off with the wind instead of against it. Couldn't get air speed, then the plane turned over and crashed. Pilots taking on passengers should have to

My earliest automotive memory was my dad changing the brakes on our Ford LTD station wagon. I was so fascinated by it that I wanted to be around anytime he worked on cars. I was probably 4 at the time. After that, working on the ~75 Chevy 1500 454 was fairly common from ages 6 to 10, when it was sold. Damn thing was

Have you ever thought about upgrading your '67 Mustang GT (with a 390) with modern suspension, and let Clarkson drive it? (I wouldn't tell him about the upgrades)

Agreed. Heard a story of a guy who was using the ratchet-style, wrench slipped, he hit the release, and the car came down on top of him. The next set of jacks I buy are going to have pin locks. Otherwise, I try to leave them at their lowest setting.

Either that, separated tendons, mangled spine, damaged cartilage, etc. There's definitely a reason why we can't normally use this much strength.

Having played golf and autocrossed, it is accurate. I can get a perfect shot, try to match it, and then slice into the road next to the course because I overthink how I made that last shot. In autocrossing, I never think about the pressures on the tires are affecting the slip angle, etc. because I simply don't have

That's like saying that a Ferrari 458 is faster around the Nurburgring's Grand Prix circuit than a Lamborghini Gallardo is around the Nordschleife. Congratulations, I can walk across my room faster than a Civic can do the quarter mile. You're comparing apples to oranges where one is made into juice and the other into

Do you respond this way every time you don't understand something?
