Whenever guys start patronizing me, I just call them “sweetie” while correcting their b.s. They get really angry and flustered but usually shut up/go away.
Men have definitely done to that to me. I have had men put so many things I’ve said in air-quotes or tell me my statistics are made up and then I pull out my phone and show them I got my stats from NIH or the CDC and my “made-up” terminology comes from the UN.
