Strange analogy. Are you a time traveler, or do you live in some alt-America where anyone who doesn’t like Howard Stern has paid him any attention at all in the last 30 years or so?

I merely meant that it really shouldn’t be necessary for a director (especially one who has crafted adaptations that are so universally hailed as triumphs) to need to justify the changes that he made in the name of adapting the material to the screen, as the justification is self-evident in the success.

He’s not calling his audience dummies; it’s the original readers 60 years ago.  Not super aggressive.

You’d think eventually she might become curious about exactly why people find that shit so ridiculous and funny.

Most stupid things don’t appear stupid to the people being stupid, my dude. I’m not forbidding anything, but as a human person I am allowed to have opinions about things, especially the kinds of things I am invited to attend.

Like, it just struck me as pretty fucking weird to get unnecessarily specific about a creator’s name and get the facts wrong. Like, most nobody knows who Eastman and Laird are, but anyone who does knows that they created the original comic, not the cartoon, associated Archie comic, or anything else. It was strange.

If you were aware, that was a strange choice of sentence.

Huh? People from all generations can think weddings themed around entertainment franchises are stupid.

Eastman and Laird didn’t have shit to do with that cartoon.  They hated that shit.

“Bald-faced,” not “bold-faced.”

This is particularly sad given that Richard Plepler, formerly the CEO of HBO, 10 years ago explicitly said that the company did not care if people shared passwords, because they were so confident the brand was so strong (at the time, it was miles ahead of anyone in television) that anyone mooching off it then would be

No.

CLEARLY in this CASE it is HIS CALL.

Not according to most of you normies when complaining online.

Yeah, rose-colored glasses and all.

He’s the director. It’s 100% his call. People don’t feel entitled to see early drafts and discarded material from novels.

That remains to be seen, honestly.  They seem aware of some things, but maybe not the big picture here.

Huh?

Not sure how that would work.

Willis used to be married to Phylicia Rashad (before Rashad).
