LOL! I love Tim Minear but I'm ambivalent about that. I mean he already has the twitter handle @CancelledAgain. Don't want to add any fuel to that "curse".

That's harsh.

But that's the thing. Nip/Tuck went off the rails pretty quickly. I've heard Glee fans that it also went off the rails pretty quickly. This sounds like an interesting movie plot but how is he going to sustain this premise over the longterm? I like that FX takes chances, but I don' have high hopes for this series.

Is it cause of his work? Cause from everything I've read about him he seems like a huge jerk. Also I gave up on Nip/Tuck after the ridiculous Carver storyline.

Well American Beauty and American Psycho fall into the same category about being about inherent horror/dispair that underlies the idea of the American Dream (ie. the idea that you can work hard, make a good living, have a happy family life in a suburb somewhere). American Pie is I think a play on the wholesomeness of

Ughh! I suppose it too much to hope that the cop is an actually skeptical and is not just going to give give into the woo each week.

Well, yeah.

I'm sure the Church's PR department did a big submission push.

Thanks for the correction.

I'm not sure what people were expecting from FS. It's on TNT. This isn't A&E or HBO we're talking about here. This is not a network that produces complex, layered, character driven television. This is a network that produces stuff like Leverage (which I love but is sappy, popcorn entertainment at best) and The Closer.

A furniture Storer or bike mechanic? Set in New York. How would they pull of the Smurfs redecorating the protagonist's apartment when he shares a one bedroom loft, with five roommates?

I'm with you. I decided the after a previous headline which proclaimed it as The Wire with Aliens not to read anymore Attack the Block reviews. Hype is dangerous.

Yeah, this totally seals it. Buying a NOOK Touch ASAP.

Believe me, there is nothing weird about my boner right now.

I never punched the reporter. I don't think I even ever got to that part of the decision tree.

The article tells you the author is named Charles. Don't know many women named Charles. It's like literally the first word in the article. It's almost like you posted a question without bothering to read the article you were inquiring about...

Depends on who you ask. I'd say The Atrocity Archives and maybe Glasshouse if you like Hard SF. I was initially put of my Halting State's 2nd person perspective, but persevered and wound up enjoying it greatly.

I'd recommend the Thrawn Trilogy and Karen Traviss' Republic Commando books. Everything is runs the gamut from merely mediocre to atrocious. EU is a wasteland

Great, I'd just manged to repress the memory of that one along with the two Matrix seque...

Oh! Are we pretending Revolver and RocknRolla didn't happen?
