@Mark 2000: I don't understand your distinction. What exactly would have made Sisko an "actual" prophet? Sisko becomes The Emissary because some religious authority decided he was, which is pretty much how any prophet (real or fictional) becomes a prophet.

@Mark 2000: Moore's an atheist? Everything the man has ever worked on has had some religious bent. Its pretty much a constant theme in his work. I'm surprised that he's an atheist.

@Craig Michael Ranapia: I only describe it as a catfight because that's how it came off. There are lot of ways Espenson could have played that confrontation to great effect, she went for cliched.
