I don’t entirely agree with recognitions here, but I’m fed up of reading all these personal attacks like “you’re a piece of garbage” and”you’re a complete failure” etcetera.
I did find Maura’s story compelling to be fair. I thought it was a strength of the show that it made me sympathise with Maura and admire her bravery even though I didn’t much like her as a person. Not an easy thing to pull off.

They could always get a Transgender actress to play the part. They could say that she decided to get sexual reassignment surgery.
