A PHEV? Nah, it’s too full of compromise when you want an EV. At least with the EV, they’ll save in maintenance and get the benefits of a dedicated EV platform (more space).

PA charges $11 each for these stickers (call it a “stamp tax” if you want) plus you have to do safety and emissions inspections yearly at a combined cost of around $100. Most surrounding states only require the emissions test (the most expensive piece) every 2 years. Too many cars already look like they shouldn’t have…

I’m not as paranoid about rental cars are most people here are. And Teslas are pretty simple to operate and I’m not sure you can really abuse one outside of actually wrecking it.
