But when you rent, that money just goes into a big black hole and you never see it again. When you own you’re at least paying off a fairly safe gamble and in theory get to keep that money in the end. There is no benefit to renting honestly unless you have an EXTREMELY generous landlord.

Home ownership is not obsolete if you dont demand to live in a giant city. You just need to decide whats more important: Having a super authentic Lebanese restaurantwithin walking distance, or long term economic security. Be an adult, leave the cities.
