Let’s come clean, though, that G8's not a GM NA product. It’s a Holden, just like my GTO is. That said, my GP GTP was pretty indestructible and it seems like some ten years after production ended, the number of Cavaliers has not diminished.
I don’t use it at that much (I don’t fiddle with dash all that much in any other cars either, because Bluetooth pairing), but I wouldn’t trade in that giant screen for all of the shiny hardware in the world. The potential is too great to do something as needlessly regressive as revert to physical switchgear.
Have you driven a Model S and used the touchscreen? It’s really not that bad. I’ve certainly used worse interfaces in cars.
20 years ago my dad asked “Why would ANYONE need a phone outside of their house?”
Id say just put in 2 knobs:
SUVs took off because people honestly like feeling that they’re getting a lot of something for what they spend, they were considered safer vehicles in accidents and that they were functionally a minivan that dad could drive without feeling like he was “whipped”.
Why not just retitle the headline “12/20/2010 was the darkest night in 500 years”?
But I guess you wouldn’t get as many errant clicks if you did that.
I honestly think a lot of men still buy trucks because the wife won’t let them buy a sports car, and a truck is considered the “manly” vehicle that’s still an option.
Professional gamer: Makes more money than us doing what he loves... stop shitting.
That varies widely by industry. 30 days supply is exceedingly low for cars, but exceedingly high for, say, cut roses.
Why is this showing on my feed on 12.20.2016????
Did they stop?
In truth less than half of CUV and SUV drivers actually NEED one, but they insist on it anyway because car manufacturers (for ther the sake of selling vehicles that have a higher profit margin) have been perpetuating the selling point being “safer” and having a “higher view point” for years. I see way too many single…
Oh for sure. As a 22-year-old, I’m still clinging onto the idea that scientists will discover life somewhere soon. Or it would be cool just to see someone land on mars. Either way, we’re living in an awesome time, depending on how you look at it.
I’m more of a Lyft customer myself, but I would have no problem forking out for a slight increase in user cost across both apps. It’s still monumentally cheaper and less dumb than getting behind the wheel after a few drinks.
On one side, I’m glad to be living in an age where the Earth is still somewhat intact but we haven’t made our way to other planets yet; however, it would be awesome to still be around in a couple hundred years when we may have possibly created colonies on other planets although the Earth is a desolate wasteland that’s…
30 years from now “banged out a fully functioning AI” is going to mean something very different.
I banged my fully functioning AI in my spare time.
My AI is also my GF.
That's Effed up! stayed up nearly all night yesterday, going outside about everyu15 min starting at 1:30 am! Good night!
