Same here. Even in suburban New Hampshire, this is basically the trash trucks we have, I wouldn’t exactly call them “European style”. We wheel out a cart and leave it at the curb one morning a week, truck comes by, does what is shown in the video, and off they go. Same exact thing for recycling, just have a second

The Opel being a little above $47k and converting WLPT to EPA would be around 226 mile range. The Tesla Y is $44k with 260 mile range, Supercharger network, and looks more like the traditional modern crossover versus a wagon which has sort of fallen out of style here.

At least we still get to keep the other icons: swimming jellyfish, dead jellyfish, police, jellyfish kebob, walking mech suit, praying hallelujah man, man who has been sliced with a katana, and big holding enormous lollipop. And now when you press the brake really hard on snow, it’s easier for the car to notify you

Most of these are tiny cars that the average truck or SUV buying American would just laugh at. They stopped selling other small cars here already like the gas Fiat 500, Ford Fiesta, Chevy Spark, etc.

Notable missing from the list. Really the only one I’d care about on this particular list aside from the Honda E (which is too expensive IMO):

The font in question is used to mark the brake, park and anti lock brake controls. The NHTSA reports that the text used on the Tesla dashboards falls under the 3.2mm (1/8 inch) size required and, as such, is harder for drivers to read.

So they made them replace the standardized icons with the words?

Aw man, I missed the QOTD but I’ve driven some pretty cool and weird stuff myself. I’ve also driven a Duck Boat for a brief moment in the water:

The trick I’ve found to work is that you copy the picture into MS Paint, then copy it from MS Paint and paste it in the comments

It’s very obvious that it’s for Tesla. They are an aftermarket part and accessory provider specifically for Tesla. This CEO has only been at the job a couple years and wasn’t the founder.

I’ve watched several videos from their channel over the past couple months, and it seems like some customers have dropped off cars for a while to allow development to be done to make accessories, and I’m assuming they’re being compensated well for it. Most videos you’ll see online of Cybertrucks aren’t the owners

He’s the CEO of the aftermarket part company T-Sportline, and it’s a customer car in for modding

We’re in the $1250-$1350/yr range for our 2018 3 and 2023 Y. They were more than our prior 2015 Mazda6 but with 2-3x the MSRP so I wasn’t too surprised.

Agreed, it’s pretty wild. At least he wears safety glasses. One step above Colin Furze’s safety tie in that regard

Personally we have a 2018 Model 3 and a 2023 Model Y in my household, and we’re within $5 of the state average insurance premium, so at least in my state, the claim that the insurance costs more seems to be bogus. Haven’t had to do repairs on either out of warranty though (the 2018 has been out for a couple years on

It seems the actual reason they were selling them is because they aged out and hit a certain number of miles. Just shy of the 100k warranty but over only a 2-3 year period. I’ve also seen that it wasn’t “maintenance costs”, but rather crash damage repair costs and the side effect of longer than average wait times at

It’s a good thing styropyro on YouTube is just a mad scientist and not malicious

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission authorized the use of Tesla Model Y and Ford Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles for taxi service in 2022.

But what if you’ve already had surgery and had already changed the gender on your license? Would they go back to your birth records every time you renewed your license? What if you had the surgery and legal gender change done in a different state, then moved (or moved back) to Florida, how would they even know? That’s
