One benefit I have seen from Tesla is that it sometimes offers its employees free charging, particularly while they’re at work

2018 is when the $7500 tax credit ran out for Tesla. For 2019 it was $3750. For 2020-2022 is was $0. Yet look what happened to their sales figures when the only incentive was the free market (hint: they didn’t go down)
I’m in the “the last 10% of the project takes 90% of the time” stage, so I missed NEFR 2022 an 2023. Was hoping to do NEFR 2024 but it’s not on the 2024 ARA schedule, maybe 2025. In the mean time I’m hoping to do some of the new Gravel Trials series in upstate NH.
Lots of logistics problems with that. Like setting off the car alarm when trying to tow it, owner being able to track where the car is being disassembled, etc. You need physical access inside the second row to disable the drivetrain battery, and physical access under the hood to disable the 12V/16V battery, which…
Between the 2nd and 3rd paragraph there’s a night time image of an EV parked behind the semi truck with the back open where eyou can see two of the normal looking EV chargers inside.
Apparently nobody is stealing Teslas, because just three Model 3 and five Model Y claims were filed. The list of least-stolen vehicles is littered with Teslas
Pro tip: click onto the first slide, then do the “List Slides” at the top, and you can see all the headlines without having to go through each
Still not that great of a deal in the grand scheme of things.
Don’t worry, Jalopnik already had at least 3 negative Tesla articles posted in the last 24 hours to hit their quota:
I applaud all the weird cars. At least in stage rally, it’s completely dominated by blue Subarus and white Ford Fiestas, with a good number of BMWs sprinkled around. That’s one of the reasons why I’m building a Fiat 500. It may be hard as hell to find parts, since I’m maybe 1 of 2 people in the whole US with a stage…
I mean, it’s sort of a supercar, right? It may look like a van, but it’s available with over 1000 horsepower tri-motor AWD with a 2.5 second 0-60 from the factory. That’s tied for 15th quickest production car ever, right there with Lamborghini Huracan and McLaren 720S
Great recommendation. I’m shocked how many people I still encounter in New Hampshire who are shocked with “you have winter tires? why do you need those? I have all-season tires”. I remember in my advanced driver training at Team O’Neil, they said “all seasons are bad in all seasons”
My advance driving school (Team O’Neil) instructors cited that it had a 40% increased reaction time.
Agreed. Article makes zero mention of insurance, which is the obvious answer. There are currently 6,241 flood damaged vehicles for sale on Copart in the US, and only around 1% of them are EVs, and 75% of those EVs are Teslas. Pretty much lines up with the overall market share and doesn’t seem to sway towards Tesla or…
According to Tesla representatives that Bacigalupo spoke with, the car’s battery had become “effectively submerged” after Scotland was hit with severe rain last weekend.
Your left foot is wired the way that you use it, you’re not born with your left foot only being for large amplitude movements. If you use practice with your your left foot for small amplitude movements, it learns to have the same abilities as your right foot. Almost the entire first day at Team O’Neil for the Day 1…
Riding a pedal and left foot braking are different things. You can ride the brake pedal with your right foot too, even on acceleration.
The difference perhaps is if you want a 7 seater SUV, you’re not cross shopping a 2-door coupe in the first place. Compare it more against a BMW X7 which starts at $82k
Interesting, alright I suppose that makes sense. So Tesla .com would be a “registered dealer”. I know that Connecticut for example doesn’t allow anyone to buy a Tesla within the state from the website, because Tesla doesn’t have franchised dealerships located geographically within the state or something like that, so…
