I never said the fully autonomous part was complete, and neither did Tesla. They specifically say that it is not autonomous yet when you go to buy it.

I found the person who has never tried it but claims they’re the expert

Is your cell phone actually an android? Or is it just called that? I already said it’s not a great name. But it does what it says on the spec sheet. The idea is that after many updates it will be fully self-driving and then they won’t need to change the name on millions of used cars. Like how I bought Minecraft 12

It worked and continues to work. There are just future features that are not completed yet, and like any software ever there is the potential of bugs.

I think the Polestar 2 would qualify. Barely.

Many of them do. We’re just in the infancy of this industry. Tesla Superchargers are pretty split between highway rest stops and strip malls present day. Though Tesla charges too fast to just plug in and leave it for a multi-store trip for the most part. There are L2 slower chargers that you often find at normal

That is pretty surprising, but that’s how the math works out when it’s 3,475/100,000

Gas cars can be put out faster, but they happen about 60x given the same number of EV and gas vehicles in a sample, so I would guess there’s still more net water and time used putting them out

I’m not a chemist but if I recall from articles I’ve read in the past, I think dendrites are less likely to form when at lower states of charge, which are one of the perpetrators for battery cells becoming internally damaged.

It’s been a few great days for gasoline car fires too. There have been approximately 1200 gas car fires just in the US in the past 3 days going by normal annual statistics

Has already been studied, EVs do have less fires, hybrids have the most fires.

Tesla Model 3 Performance, around $49k

Anything is ready to light up if it meets all 3 sides of the fire triangle.

Right? The laminated glass that is designed to not break, versus the the side windows that are temperate glass, and a single strike of a sharp point would break it. Just break the one opposite the baby and reach in and unlock the door. And with a Lifehammer style glass breaker that you’d think someone in the area

He does dress like that though

Almost there. Present day, including tax credits, you can get a Tesla for the same price as a loaded gas powered Toyota Camry. Most EVs are in the 250-300 range these days. Charging network had a big boost in 2023 as most of the automakers finally agreed upon a standard to use (NACS).

Same with gas cars. In Fairbanks Alaska, there are 120v plugs all over the dang place and people drive around with extension cords hanging out of their hood and wrapped around the side mirror. They plug in all over town to run electric engine block heaters. Which is pretty funny because that means there’s already a

I vaguely recall being a kid in the 90s and my dad had to run the heat in his pickup truck on really hot days because otherwise the engine would overheat!

Do you really need the Lariat or Platinum trim though? Or do you mean the only ones they have in stock are the top trims?

Kind of surprised to hear this after having the smoothest car loan process I’ve ever had just a couple days ago. Ordered a car, clicked the button on the web form to use their built-in car loan, got automatic notification about 10 minutes later that it was approved, and that was it. Interest rate certainly a couple
