I would say it was the BEST to come out of the series, but not necessarily that the other games were bad. 

Let me clear up my thoughts and grievances some more.

They’re gonna sell skins and heads again, I fully expect it. Also paid max. level increases, which was dumb the first time they did it.

I found them more engaging to be honest, as they often highlighted character personalities. One thing I found with Final Fantasy overall is that sans a few characters each game, the personalities suck or you don’t get enough time with them.

I may give it a try at some point.

I’m thinking of the more classic 1-10 admittedly. The turn based system. FF 10 was probably the best iteration of this, but I enjoy Persona’s encouragement of exploiting weaknesses for additional attacks. 

After playing Persona 5 I have a hard time enjoying Final Fantasy anything anymore. The battle system in that game was excellent and the story was much more interesting.

Not sure why they didn’t just include the Portal 2 Long Fall Boots for the last one there.

I liked how in New Vegas that basically every companion did not have the time of day to sleep with your character, sans getting one drunk. Also they often had other people they were interested in.
