I’ve seen a lot of places report how Toast donated $5000, but it’s worth noting that since these were full price subs to his own channel, he gets money back just like if his viewers were to sub.

Now new streamers usually split the $5 subscription with Twitch, so at worst this would have only cost $2500, but big time

It’s worth noting the games shown in the video are from a very early AlphaStar build. That build only played as Protoss and only versus Protoss. It also wasn’t quite as limited in how fast it could execute actions. IIRC, those builds of Alphastar had a limit on average APM (actions-per-minute) and would ‘save’ APM to

I appreciate the sentiment, but there are a bunch of other considerations that affected the experience. From what I could determine, the player population was kinda weighted towards the top, which meant finding lower level groups to join was inconsistent. Sure, there might have been less competition for certain

I jumped into the Project 1999 earlier this year, not realizing the server had stopped adding expansions at Velious. Ended up still playing a bunch, but it definitely felt like some of the magic was gone. Plenty of people were playing, but you got the sense that all the mountains had been summited, all the dungeons

But that’s not how we treat those Amendments at all. You can’t post whatever you want on Facebook without reprocussions because it’s a private platform and therefore not ‘free speech’. Similarly, AR-15's or w/e aren’t specifically protected. Arms (ie guns) are broadly protected and we then decide what guns we allow.

Honestly, that’s pretty on brand for CashNastyGaming. That’s actually the least hype he’s appeared on camera when cracking packs.

Congrats on conquering your demons!

You’re also in for a treat with Silent Hill 1. Few games create suspense and atmosphere like SH1 does. To my mind, it’s an example of some of the best, most effective sound design in the industry.
Like you, I probably tried it earlier than I should have ― after seeing an ad in the

Ok, so the Dragon Ball shoes are bad and the Sakura shoe is bad and the one you like is the one that could be straight up mistaken for a generic sneaker, but with a bunch of Naruto branding slapped on?

What’s the point of buying a themed shoe if it’s not a ridiculous statement piece? This is the blandest of the bunch,

Robinson’s absence from HomeStoryCup 19 was one of the throughlines of the weekend. From the coverage it was clear, even to those new to StarCraft2, how big a part of the community he was and how well regarded.

Robinson was always a larger than life personality — certainly during his days as a pro player, but

Jeremiah Johnson was, for a reasonable percentage of Millennials I’d wager, one of those Dad movies that was required viewing (like Patton). Maybe my childhood household had an above-average saturation of Western films from the mid-20th century.

It’s definitely a classic from that golden age of 70's Cinema.

Clearly, Lil Nas X and Orville Peck need to collab. 2019 has been a good year for gay cowboys and the only thing I require now is more.

A buddy started tackling Dark Souls 3, so I’ve started up my own first playthrough. I’ve probably more than a weekend left in it, but I’m planning on trying to make some serious headway there when I’m not trying to finish installing hardwood flooring in my living room. The weekend is gonna be jam packed!

Secret of Evermore was something pretty special. It’s a weird little gem that was going to be my suggestion too. That game has a lot of charm and it’s not quite like anything else out there. It’d be a good one to revisit.

Otherwise, how do you feel about Ogre Battle? :D

Detox with Bob Mould? That’s like getting a flavor out of your mouth by swilling wallpaper paste. super great very good

Played a bit of the Project 1999 server to relive some highschool nostalgia. That lacks some of the quality of life improvements this anniversary version has (including a map), but in an age of Souls-alike games, I thought it had aged quite well. It doesn’t hold your hand. It doesn’t tell you where to go except

Choosing where to land is mostly about time management. If I’m new to the game and trying to practice combat, I’m trying to land with the most amount of people to just grind out kills and get comfortable with scrappy, close quarters engagements.

Just got Tokaido for Christmas, but I’m stuck playing it as a 2 player game. For 2 players, I’m underwhelmed, but I can see 3-4 really opening it up. Thoughts on 2 player Tokaido?

This guy: I signed an NDA, but I’ll talk on the condition of anonymity!

Guess you should have watched the video ;)

I do hope we get a gallery of Kotaku staff costumes at some point (and reader costumes in the comments!)
