Just the act of maintaining all those dumb little engines is what will kill them off. Same with other small engine applications like mopeds. Electrics are just so much more durable and less to maintain, and as the tech improves, its just not going to make sense to fight with a fiddly, messy gas engine. I know so many

I use a plug-in leaf blower. Yes, you have an extension cord, but its really powerful. Same with the plug-in weed whacker.

My car has Bosch CIS injection. Its vintage late 70s and its friggin weird. I’ve played with older Bosch injection systems that weren’t as weird as this. The thing uses a fuel distributor which is actuated by vacuum from the engine, so if you have any kind of vacuum leaks, the thing won’t idle. It was actually on a

I thought this was a conspiracy, myself. I don’t really care for ethanol, at least in how its produced today, but I used to not really care about E10 vs ethanol free.

I saw one of those a few years back, in Esztergom, Hungary of all places, with South Carolina dealer license plates on it no less!

Door panels are very similar, if not the same (just opposite), but the driver’s armrest is different from the passenger’s. I believe the passenger armrest upper attachment may be in the same location as the driver’s side mirror adjustment switch.

I have one that’s not quite as hidden, but still not obvious. The difference is, once you know where it is, its totally easy to use, and impossible to forget.

They’re actually trans women...

Kudos to you for going on, and anticipating what it was going to be. Appreciate your perspective, so please don’t take this comment as criticism of you specifically.

I’ve got a 1980 BMW 320i (e21) that I’m planning to do a conversion on. My (probably overambitious) plan is to take the drive unit of a Nissan Leaf and graft it on to the rear subframe carrier of the BMW. I’ll need to tilt it backwards a bit, and cut out a small portion of the trunk, and make slightly shorter

Long live the Saab 900s. I love those cars.

Agreed. I’ve owned a Tesla Model S for 6 years now, and its served me really well as my primary, long distance vehicle. I’m really happy with the state of EVs right now, its really exciting.

Yes, but the CCS plug that came out in 2014 is not the same as the CCS combo plug that’s out there now.

1) Keep that 95 Integra running tip top! Its an awesome car!

When does tech “level off”?

TLDR: Not when considering the advance of technology.

I’ve always appreciated all types of cars, even the truly bad ones, for being what they are. Even the best of cars aren’t all that great in some way or another, and when a truly bad car is horrible in almost every respect, I actually have to appreciate how completely BAD it is, and then remember its context.

Just going to say it:

Not defending the driver or criticizing the cop, but, anyone else have trouble determining where an emergency vehicle is on the road when its dark and they have their blue strobes flashing? The light contrasts make it hard for me to see lane markings, so I usually slow down and definitely move into the other lane if

I’d argue that a brand new 1985 Cavalier was probably a better car than a new 1991-94 Cavalier. At least then the tooling was still new. The “2nd Gen” Cavalier was really just a front and rear refresh, used the same core chassis, doors, glass, etc. And, at least it was 1985, not the 90s.
