Aluminum F-150s are having some challenges too, although Ford bodyshops are getting up to speed. Independents are lagging due to the tooling and experience working with aluminim.

To be fair, Tesla’s plan for the Gigafactory has always included battery recycling. They haven’t really talked it up much (partly, I suspect, because they’re still working out the details), but it has always been there.
Well, they’re not really trying to keep it hush-hush. They just haven’t been really talking it up.
Actually, Tesla does like this, and they’re already in that market. They’re already set up to accept/buy older packs from customers and use those packs for grid storage.
