Do a bit of research. Plugging an electric car into the DIRTIEST coal power plant in the country pollutes as much as a car getting about 30 mpg on gasoline. That’s on 100% dirty coal. Electric cars are cleaner.

Yeah, all that clear, fresh air is a real bummer.
I think it was the Prussische Abbiegensrichtungbeleuchtungsanlagesystem GmBH. It was a northern German company interested in safely following the rules and created retrofit kits for those unsafe Bavarian Alp-runners...
Proper procedure for signaling a left turn at a roundabout intersection:
Man you are touchy!
AP’s been available for awhile now, Fluffy and its constantly being refined. HW2 cars represent a pretty significant increase in hardware capability, and if the software isn’t right, it could potentially kill you and others, so I for one don’t mind Tesla being a bit cautious about the roll-out. And it seems like you…
I dunno, there’s some pretty dumb rules out there. There’s also some downright wrong rules out there too. People wrote racial segregation rules, and those are wrong, and I don’t blame a single colored person for standing up to them. I also think racial profiling policies are wrong too, those should be stood up…
Just because its a rule, doesn’t mean its automatically right, smart or a good idea. Rules are written by people, and if you haven’t noticed, we fuck up from time to time.
There’s a very good reason rural houses are cheaper; you’re way farther away from the things you need and want, meaning your costs are going to be the same (less mortgage, but higher travel costs).
So, percentage wise, it was a pretty small effect. In these sorts of situations, I ask myself if its worth it to get upset and fixate on shit like this, and in the grand scheme of things, I find it generally isn’t.
If he’s a military vet with 2 tours driving these trucks in hostile territory under his belt, my guess is that he doesn’t have the financial depth to buy a piece of land to store a military truck on. Completely uninformed assumption on my part, but again, the guy probably never even thought that this would even be an…
Sure. Exactly. Happens all the time. And its going to continue to happen all the time. Its a paint job. Its a truck parked in front of a house. Its an old guy who can’t fly his plane anymore. How long is going to stay like that?
Given that all of the Autopilot assisted miles that Tesla has under its belt have been statistically safer and less fatal than normal, human controlled driving has been, I’d say that still calling it “beta” is conservative.
Ok, rather than argue the point, I’ll just go ahead and agree with you, that yes, there are some neighborhoods whose property values are fragile to aesthetic perception. (Newer “high-end” neighborhoods out in the outskirts, run-down inner city neighborhoods.)
Woah, dude. Quite the leap from a guy having a backstory with a military truck he served overseas with and your own pent-up sexual frustrations or irrational fears of your neighborhood turning into a slum.
Yeah, like you have a whole lot of control over that...
What gives you the right to decide what is an eyesore?
Given that this technology is involved in a potentially dangerous and life-threatening activity, I’m perfectly fine with them continuing to be conservative and calling it beta.
If you don’t like it, don’t be an early adopter (or don’t live in NJ). Wait until its good and mature and buy it then (or live somewhere else). How many times has Tesla said Autopilot is still beta?
30 years ago? I dunno... I’ve owned a total of 6 cars over the years, and of those, only 2 of them (including one of the ones I own today) has less than 200,000 miles on it. All of the cars I’ve owned with 200,000+ miles have been 30 years or older (a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, a 1973 Volvo 1800ES, a 1980 BMW 320i…
