I don't think Charlotte would side with Quigley. Quigley is worse and while I think Charlotte is bitter, she is not that vindictive. If anything the love she has for her mother and sister is the only vulnerable thing about her. I see William hitting the bricks for sure, but I think that's a fake out for now.

Interesting! I think William was angry but loyal. I think he wouldn't run off with Harriet but I could see him leaving Margaret based on her BS. He could be going after Harriet's kids. Lydia might have a weird maternal relationship with Margaret but Margaret's mother sold her to Quigley for a pair of yellow shoes -

No blood. but if Charlotte isn't found guilty, he's the next obvious choice because of the firing/rehiring. The whole plot seems to be around those with power and those who must serve and be oppressed by them.

I wonder as well. Everyone is so busy messing things up to protect her, it would be a surprise if she does something that brave & independent. She definitely dislikes prostitution and does not want to be there.
