No. You're bad at analogies.

Can we agree that there's no way this joe random would have paid the radio host $100 if the raven's had made the playoffs? Because, let's be honest, he wouldn't have. Congratulations Charles, you managed to look as petty and annoying as the guy you are hating on.

Here is the problem. I am not claiming it was a great injustice that Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb wasn't a unanimous choice. A main reason players like Ruth, Gehrig, etc were not unanimous selections is because the first balloting was in 1936 and covered all previous years. Therefore, the writers had a ton of Hall of Fame

You are half right: it sounds stupid.

Thank you for your constructive feedback. I don't think I said anything particularly offensive, it's just something I would imagine folks may have a problem with?

How does the Army do it with? Co-ed barracks and showers and everything like Starship Troopers?

Here's a tangentially related question:

Which is why it really doesn't make sense to argue legal principals in non-legal setting.

I think you're mistaking proof in a court of law versus reasons to hire or not hire someone.

Yeah, but how are Priefer's statements being used to prove the truth of the matter asserted? No one has to prove "we should round up all the gays, send them to an island, and then nuke it until it glows" (in fact, it's not possible to prove). They only have to prove Priefer sounds like an asshole. That's not

This is my favorite kind of comment... the one that anticipates the liberal outrage that doesn't exist. Bravo

Brain surgery is actually far less traumatizing to the human body than playing a single NFL game.

Can I just say this is the highest level of irony I've seen in years? In a video game, you can steal money, use it on luxuries and shit, and not give a crap about anyone else. But when someone dumps multi-millions of dollars on your plate, and there's a chance you might get "banned" for having so much money, it makes

Fantastic, and further evidence that the NFL needs to start making soccer-style junior academies already.

Yup. Even the shithead players, to some extent. There's absolutely no reason amateur sports should be paired with college other than an accident of history.

As educators, our hands are pretty tied in these things. We can report the issues to the academic affairs officers and our direct superiors, but (especially as doctoral students) that's as far as it can go. Naming names is out of the question, because federal laws protect the students.

At my high school, it was "tradition" to piss on guys in the shower - even friends of one another did it. Essentially, everyone bullied one another via piss.
My senior year, I was one of 4 senior co-captains. The first time the pissing happened that year (the four of us never participated) we took the guy aside and

No you weren't. You were treating a real issue that has hugely affected a lot of people like it didn't exist. He must never have had issues because his school was expensive! What kind of twisted logic is that? Everyone has their demons and their problems.

Ironically, those Colby football classmates probably:

I'm just really glad for the delivery person that you're keeping your order on closed loop. I used to do bicycle delivery for a cafe and one of the offices had a receptionist who, in front of us, would open all the envelopes marked with the order names, remove the cash, and use it to pay for their meals...and hers.
