Who ignores infrastructure? Not engineers. Those are all trivially easy to solve. The densest part of America in Manhattan has no problem obtaining food. Seriously, people there are so skinny because of fashion, not because no one has found a way to bring bushels of wheat to Gramercy.

You realize that engineers are really good at designing buildings, right? We also have pretty good elevator technology, etc., so these problems are solvable.
