The beauty of this game is the fact that we’re all pretty much playing by our own rules. The different perspectives expressed here are the reason why I find the comments to these posts more enlightening than the simple number vote.

I have recently begun viewing NP/ND through the guise of: “Would I recommend this car to my brother?”. See, my brother, God love’im, is prone to making bad automotive decisions despite the best advice of others. He is easily swayed by a pretty finish, a list of “upgrades”, and a low price. He’s not handy, though he…
Oh oh . Can I take back my NP ?
What kind of neighbors are going to be impressed with a 17 year-old bottom-tier luxury car? I don’t want to live in that neighborhood.
This is a good car to buy for your teenager as a first car. It’s running right now, reasonably safe, in decent condition, and... well... you know they’re gonna learn how to wrench.
The writer is a DIY type person, its not unusual to be <$0.25/mi or even <$0.20/mi all included on an economy car. My last economy car was at $0.16. I didn’t drive for uber at all but I would net ~500mi/mo in reimbursements and I was basically paid $0.58-0.16=$0.42 per mile on top of my salary. That includes…
ND But let’s all pity the guy because
Here’s the thing though - this IS an opportunity. BMW HAS alienated a segment of their buyers. I am certainly one of them. I flat out will not buy a new car with an automatic, and I don’t like the styling direction. I won’t even look at a Cadillac with an automatic - but I would be willing to test drive one with a…
My wife bought a Corolla earlier this year. We hunted it down, it was the only manual on the lot. The sales lady said they go as fast as they show up. I think the problem is the dealers.
It’s not about the brand, it’s about the car. And if you want a full wagon, the TourX is the one that will also perform. It’s a solid car.
But why, if you’re going to be stuck in your car for hours, why not a Buick.
The murdered out trend is played-out and wasn’t good to begin with. It was just a cheap way for people to customize their cars. A few black rattle cans and some plasti-dip and you have murdered your car. This is advertising for lazy owners.
Kinja apparently thinks I respond too often. Anyone else have troubles with being able to comment?
Love vs hate. Love Volvos, the engine transplant and it appears to be a pro installation, although a strange one.
Love the sleeper aspect of the brick, and this is one of those cars that I haven’t really seen the ‘drop an LS in’ method, though I would have probably put more fun wheels on it. Interior is in way nicer shape than I’ve seen in an older Volvo.
If you’re selling an Atom for twenty grand, I’m buying.
Because the LS4 was built to last a long time, and run on 87 octane like 99% of it’s buyers were going to throw in it. It also was limited by the transmission, which is at it’s limits at this power level.
Because just comparing horsepower sucks so much. The v8 in the SS made 323 lb-ft of torque compared to 262 in the M3. They were designed with different goals in mind.
I wasn’t really sure what to make of this one, so I asked the webbernets.
