Thanks!

It's a double edged sword. That type of thinking is exactly what led to Japan's lost decade because they prop up giant businesses to save jobs but those businesses still aren't competitive and take resources from businesses that could be. I think if we had let GM fail and sold it off in parts in a bankruptcy the

I don't know that I buy all the doom and gloom. A ton of those suppliers are gone now anyway because GM removed their obligation to pay during bankruptcy and the smaller suppliers all folded because they got screwed. I work for a Michigan tooling manufacturer that doesn't do automotive but we used a lot of the same

The harness is something you really need to look out for on these, because they are 150% certain to fail, and cost a couple grand to replace on the M120. Thermostat too, although its a cheaper repair. Having it done already is a plus.

Excellent story, thanks for taking the time to share with us.

Ahhhh....new vag smell...It was totally worth it...

A Lexus Texas.

Face it, you'll be lucky to afford this

You pretty much summed it up. That's what we should do. It's a survival of the fittest. Do we bail out small family-owned businesses? Nope. Huge, fucked up, avarice-ridden corporations? Yeah why not? Thanks lobbyists and Supreme Court morons. Way to protect the average Joe/Jose/other minorities' common names that

$11 billion to prop up a company that will surely fail again in some even more expensive way. That's a helluva opportunity cost.

No, I'm specifically referring to what's happened in the last few months. They've tried to dodge everything. Barra is saying she had no idea what was going on, despite being the head of engineering at the time! Everyone there is looking around, STILL, and going, "nope, don't look at me!"

It really does make me sick just thinking about it. How people are still on GM's side here is beyond my understanding.

That's the cost of saving GM and I still think it was absolutely worth it, even if we're reminded of how turrible GM was like every month.

Why the Saab Soccer wheels?

That looks awesome! Here's the thing. The 991 (911) is the modern 928. Sure, the 928 had a V8 in the front and a 991 has a flat six behind the rear wheels, but that isn't the point.

Scion FR-S/Subaru BRX. For all the superlatives, Toyota and Subaru cut too many corners. Great handling can only get you so far and these two are far from great cars. There I said it.
