Did not read far into the comments, but couldn't gawker just limit burner accounts from posting links or images? Or at least set a limit, (say accounts have to be so many days old and have so many positive posts), (I have no idea what controls are available).

I think the main crowd responsible for this behaviour is those who migrated from craigslist classifieds and decided to "splurge" on a paid dating site. I have only used Craigslist for buying/selling consumer goods, but even there it seems to draw an unsavory crowd.

I have to add it is obviously inappropriate behavior, in poor form and implies an inherent immaturity, I think that would be a fair standard to apply to either sex in a situation like this. Of course society sees sex as a man's price and a woman's concession double standards are safe harbors for inequality (IMO).
