If you can’t muster the political support to effect change, then you lose. Whining about it as though you’re some sort of enlightened party is complete bullshit. This is a gun owning country and has been since before it was founded.

What conversation would you like to have? It’s easy to blame inanimate objects, it’s harder to examine root causes.

We had one, actually more than one, and the people who want to ban guns have lost that argument, repeatedly.

Look, man, as soon as people stop using guns to kill other people then we’ll maybe have breathing room to start a conversation about how we can maybe stop so many people from using guns to kill other people. Otherwise, it’s just too soon.

Just imagine someone wanting to use this to start a national conversation about video games (but they don’t really want a conversation, just a bunch of politically convenient laws that let them dictate the content of games).
