I would love an upgrade to electrify my reliable but aging FWD vehicle. I could even live with a 150 mile range.  Have no need for a giant touchscreen or remote blahblahblah.

Ain’t it weird how corporate policies change when the president does?

“I won’t be able to ever buy an electric car with a tax credit” -

Dream on! -  GM will immediately reverse the $6000 price drop on the Bolt once the new rebates take hold.  Just look at the Bolt prices before the reached the rebate cap limit.

Yes on that!  I have a 2015 Chevy and this would have been great for me and for my wife's 2015 Subaru.  Neither pair very well - both have weird proprietary interfaces instead of Carplay or Android Auto.  Looking to pick one up for half price.

Its kind of comical that the Biden admin is talking about reducing the federal gas tax on the same day that automakers are asking the government to provide incentives for EVs. Does anyone notice that those 2 actions work against each other?

I will pay the same amount of money for my next car to top out at 85mph. And I don’t need a camera satellite linked crap device to do it. Should cost the automaker about $5 to wite it in the ECM.

Not really surprised.

I just drove by an H2 yesterday, and while I made fun of it when it came out, it has aged well and still looks kind of cool today.

Not a chance but I will star any mention of Elio which was a great idea at the time. Just imagine if today there were a 2-seater on sale for $9,000. They would sell zillions! Oh sorry I’m still drunk off the Elio kool-aid.

Hmm I was in line to buy one of these before the recall. I still like the car but a little less enthusiastic about it now.

Have any of you attended a city council meeting in the last decade? No current homeowners want affordable housing in their town. They also don’t want traffic, renters, Air Bnbs, group houses, and assistance for the homeless.

Cheap cars - we need 'em!  I need to replace a Chevy Cruze willing to spend up to $25k but don't see much from GM unless I want a Trailblazer or a stripped-down Equinox.  Probably will end up with a Civic or Corolla.

Agree with the Tesla recall for rolling stops but I’ve driven behind autonomous cars that are programmed to follow the law to the letter and it inspired road rage I never have with real drivers.

Here in midwest pothole land I spend more on wheels, alignment, struts, bushings, and half-shafts as I do on engine work.

I used to meet in the conference room of a Detroit engineering firm whose huge interior windows looked right into Ford Field, where the Lions play. Wow this must be so popular on game day I said.

Most private companies don’t give the day off for Columbus Day, nor Indigenous People’s Day.

Yes and the Chevy Bolt pictured which would qualify as union-made in the US has 24% domestic content.  Most is from S Korea.

I had planned to buy a Bolt EUV, but that won’t happen anytime soon, so I am now looking at the Nissans again.

Now do it with a pumpkin!
