So bizarre. I’m almost positive there were times when I saw the logo and for a brief second thought the color looked slightly different, but I never did any digging into it. This is a really cool feature that I didn’t know about! I kinda wish you had included an example or two so we could see exactly how it works, comparing the original text to the altered misdirection. But I’m going to be playing this huge demo anyway, so nothing beats firsthand experience. I am ready to suffer.

I wish the hero from Dragon Quest V was also an alternate skin, since that stands as my favorite game in the franchise, but I’ll take what I can get. If anything, I’m just glad the addition of the hero may introduce new people to the series in the west.

I actually prefer to play as Peach whenever possible. That floating ability she has helps compensate for my poor platforming skills! I do think it’s about time she stopped being the prize at the end of every game, though. At least Pauline got to evolve past being a damsel in distress with Odyssey.

Just a note: Game & Watch Gallery 4 was developed by TOSE, and wasn’t even released in Japan on its original platform. I’m not implying Nintendo HQ had no idea this change was made back in 2002, but we don’t know how involved they were in this game’s development. I’m sure Nintendo of America called attention to this…

I’m assuming this is an unpopular opinion, but I typically feel as though the remixes for these games are mostly underwhelming. Only a few of them stand out to me. Maybe that’s just because the original arrangements are just already so good?

Has anybody played Virtue’s Last Reward on PSTV? That’s the closest thing to a Vita I have, and I’m currently debating whether or not to purchase the 3DS version of the new game as I did with the last one.
