Im willing to believe she’s a little more cheery around Luke because he reminds her of the good in Anakin and there’s some amount of relief knowing that, in the end, Anakin turned back to the light.

Being happy for a small period of time doesn’t negate years of trauma responses or really change that entirely.

You understand there’s a difference between teenage Ahsoka in Clone Wars and middle aged Ahsoka in Rebels/Ahsoka, yeah?

Ahsoka spent years in on the run / in hiding, decided to come out of hiding and help the cause only to discover her best friend turned into a genocidal maniac within a few hours of the last time they saw each other.

Nope, it’s simpler than that.

No Billy Ocean?  I’ll pass.

Somehow the modern revival of the concept of serialized fiction completely broke the ability of some critics to acknowledge it. How, after 29 movies/shows, can anyone still not get this? The MCU has not been standalone since its very first installment’s stinger. Period. It will not be, ever. Period. Not liking that

Somewhere out there is an alternate universe where The Takeout just published an article with the headline “The McRib proves that McDonald’s will never serve anything but fast food,” or something to that extent.

Theater quality/ticket pricing has made it that the movies have to be “worth it” to go to the theater for, and those movies are generally the big blockbusters, like Marvel.

Marketing is also a big factor in this that people just ignore. Marvel has made 2, 3 and soon 4 movies a year. That’s it. 4 movies in a year out of hundreds of other releases. Yet they dominate the discussion, regardless of whether you like them or not, because of the huge Disney marketing machine. Disney is going to

What’s somewhat difficult to forgive...ends up hinging on the idea that this chunk of the MCU descended into a zombie apocalypse because people weren’t familiar enough with horror movie tropes.”
After nearly 2 years in a pandemic, we still have people refusing to use masks and take vaccines. We can’t complain about

Well then Bucky was ahead of the curve.

Just came across this response in another spot and it slayed me. “He sounds niggorant as fuck.”

This is why I sometimes think a sequel might not be a disaster. The Dark World is an objectively dull movie — even the title is boring — but Endgame and Loki managed to get a lot of mileage out of it in terms of character development, as opposed to pretending it never happened (which is the Abrams way).

“Doesn’t like politics” means he’s fortunate enough to not be affected by politics.

Because some of us ENJOY storylines that take time for character-heavy development and interaction.

I think to say that the Venn diagram of Nazis and white supremacists being a perfect circle is a bit of an oversimplification, and Ash was right to both make a distinction between them as well as criticize the game industry’s degree of comfort with depicting Nazis but not other kinds of extreme right wing identities

... it’s literally just a starting guide, and is hardly gushing. The official Kotaku review wasn’t particularly great either.

Tangentially, the “things that he’s got going on” and “wrong choices” for the “almost” “estranged son” involve a 12/08/2018 booking on charges of a less explicitly statutory nature and a court date listed as 06/16/2021. https://tularecounty.ca.gov/sheriff/index.cfm/divisions/detentions1/detentions-operations/inmate-sea

Yeah, I was worried with Disney behind this and Omega as a, if not the central character tht this would be a supper kiddie show, and then they shoot people dead in the chest.
