I feel like you don't understand the mercedes demographic or customer base....people buy mercedes because they want new and the latest and greatest. They sure as hell don't buy something and intend to pop the hood and work on it themselves. Most wouldn't even know how to open the hood. And I know you think this car

And for sale for 29 at dozens of dealers on cars.com

the very first thing Bugatti did was pick the engine and they decided hey guys lets ball out and do 16 cylinders with 4 turbos DSG and AWD! after this they fought an uphill battle to design a car around for all intensive purposes a boat anchor. the end result was hilariously heavy and complicated and ridiculously

they will not beat this with an estate body unless they ditch Quattro and dsg which they will never do because they are pushing those as the best tech they have. they may beat this time with a v8 and awd but it sure as hell wont be a 4000 lb family wagon. they need to stop thinking bigger=better. mind you its the same

im not an fwd fanboy I bought a focus cuz it was the only car for me that was cheap fast and reliable. rs4 weight dist is 58/42, my focus is 62/38 it loves to rotate because there is no weight on the rear. yes i am aware the focus weight dist is atrocious and im also aware fwd is not the preferred drivetrain for a

yea.....no the weight isn’t coming from leather, its coming from a much heavier Quattro system, v8 engine and dsg gearbox. fwd lift off oversteer so much easier than awd cars because fwd cars have less weight over the rear and more upfront. lift off oversteer is quite hard in an awd car. and there is no way a b8 wagon

So you really think if this same dude drove the rs4 avant he would have a better lap time than the current record rs4 sedan? I just wanna hear you say it so I can laugh at you

except that 7:58 is widely acknowledged to be the best ring time for a b8 rs4 in sedan form the wagon will obviously be slower. the thing you don’t get is that fwd cars feel and drive much lighter on their feet. they dance and move more delicately than a 4000 understeering awd pig. my focus st will rotate very

awd isn’t the huge performance benefit most think it is. audi wont beat this unless they make something non awd and much smaller and or more agile otherwise it shouldn’t come as a surprise the rs4 is a handful to maneuver the nurburgring

my dream is 360 Modena silver over blue interior 6 speed with scuderia shields and the normal back end not the challenge black vented rear end where the taillights are

I really don't get why 360 aren't more desirable. I think they are beautiful in every way and better looking than its predecessor and successor. plus the maintenance Is cheaper than both its predecessor and successor and it still makes good power and is plenty quick to keep up with many of todays performance cars. idk

wouldn’t the 1.4 be dreadfully slow as well? I remember reading a dodge dart review with the 1.4 and they said it felt like the parking brake was stuck on always and the car had no go

buy a focus st. they are pretty roomy I think 45 cf with seats down. noticeably bigger than fiesta and more composed and sturdy plus faster and same price

has your mpg risen now that its warmer? im getting 25 city driving it tame

this excuse should never exist. back in the 80's chevy said we cant find a beefy enough tranny for the Camaro iroc or z28 I forget which. but the same company made 500+hp stick shifts 20 years prior. today the hellcat and viper prove there shouldn't be any limit to what three pedals can handle hell look at the venom

im referring to the mgb which died around the same time as the triumph tr6 and after lotus axed the elan. Your explanation doesn't make any sense but this is jalopnik and you said Miata so this will probably make the list despite it being completely nonsensical

that makes it the beginning not the end. the mg would be the last of the old school compromise ridden unreliable roadster

the e30 was the last overengineered small tossable compact car for bmw. Its design is an evolution of both the e21 and 2002. the e36 following set the future standard for bigger sleeker heavier cruising coupes.

e30. you can see a very clear resemblance to the earlier e21 and 2002 designs in the e30. after the e30, the e36 set the pace for future bmw compact endeavors which were larger heavier and more cruising oriented than the small fun light tossable fun of the e30 and earlier cars. it was also the end of car design done
