Review bombing is really strange. First one I can recall was Dragon Age 2. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more disparate line between reviewers and player reviews in my life. Reviewers loved it; player base hated it for going in a different direction than why us fans of DA: Origins appealed to us.

He’s not wrong with his assessment, though. Remember, once upon a time people were that passionate about physically owning copies of the movies they loved and yet the industry moved toward streaming services when it comes to home releases because that’s just what brings in more people and therefore more money.

Exactly. It’s not like this behavior is new from him. These are just the times he’s been caught.

I spot Jarlaxle in the hero characters. I am playing the game based on that alone.

Is this the same guy that does a lot of their box artwork for the new box sets that come out? It’s kind of hard to find names on the actual images in books and on boxes.

That’s two Highlight Reels in a row where the Browns are getting dunked on.

My biggest problem with Overwatch is how much the community cares about dumb shit like what other people think.

True. It was just because the story goes completely off the rails in the following act and so people were trying to justify the plot turning into mushed garbage.

Counterpoint: Sephiroth was a terrible villain. “I was created? Time to lose my mind and destroy the world because reasons.” The real bad guy with actual motivation was Hojo (or whatever the scientist’s name was, it’s been awhile since I went through it.)

Way to bury the lede. Tiny Wars makes my heart sing just looking at that trailer!

The fact it was on a Browns player was the most realistic thing about the clip.

It looks like a combination of anime and Thunderbirds. People who read this site are probably more familiar with Team America: World Police which lampooned Thunderbirds marionette style.

Ah yeah true, spells in general kind of home in on things. Arrows also kind of bending is slightly different in my mind, but I guess it’s not when you think about it as just all projectiles!

Dark Souls 2 arrow bending was even more of a thing than it was in the first game. I bet it’s also a thing in 3 but I haven’t really actively tested it. 3 feels so much quicker that it’s hard to judge.

Out of curiosity, I wondered how accurate it was to the real man. I found a picture of the real Michael Forgey from an article about his passing on Gamasutra.

You are being an aggressive asshole at me sharing my opinion. My mistake for thinking you might actually just want to have a discussion.

Boy there are a lot of hot takes in here.

I am pretty passionate about what I consider good and bad writing practices. It’s not like it comes out of nowhere; I’ve spent a huge portion of my life to studying literature in school and university. The literary community frowns on treating your readers like they’re stupid. Not setting up the future events that

It’s bad writing, is why. The lack of foreshadowing so the reader/viewer/whatever can keep up makes all the twists lackluster and insulting. I just respond “Because of course this new thing is what’s happening now” and it’s boring after awhile. It masturbates into it’s own psuedo-cleverness trap.

Haha, don’t feel stupid. I am only pointing it out to you because someone on the reddit pointed it out to me. I haven’t had in-game combat animations on since my first playthrough of Blazing Sword back in 2004, so I didn’t catch it either.
