Has the outraged died down enough yet where we can now safely call out Serena for throwing a tantrum because she was getting her butt kicked, or is Deadspin still all-in on “the ref was racist and you too are racist if you claim otherwise” take? Asking for a friend...

No.

I think you should clarify that it is specifically the Chargers moving to LA that has been a disaster. The Rams were second in home attendance their first year in LA (kinda hard to argue that was entirely due to visiting fans), dropped to 26th in 2017, and are up to 14th so far in 2018. They’ve been fine.

Albert hates how the Rockets play. Which is fair! But just like this site can never acknowledge that the Sixers maybe-sorta had a good long-term plan after years of mocking The Process (TM), Albert was incapable of admitting the Rockets came *this* close to beating the Warriors.

an otherwise fine Democratic politician”

I think you’re overstating the case, the plan to build up that area centered around building the ballpark there. And none of it actually happened until the ballpark was actually built and started drawing businesses there. Could it have been done without Nats Park? Maybe! But this wasn’t an up-and-coming area of DC

I can understand this take only if the only Star Wars movies you’ve ever seen are TLJ and the prequels. Otherwise you are the weirdo, and quite frankly it is you who is not to be trusted.

As a long-time boxing fan I enjoyed this and found most of it to be spot on. The only part I don’t agree with are the complaints about Lampley and Kellerman. I think they were great and good boxing commentators, respectively, and even if one disagrees I don’t think it’s even slightly accurate to claim they ignored the

Come to the Nets!  You’re exactly what we need to get us back to where we belong:  A 4th or 5th seed in the lesser conference and 2nd round playoff exit in a good year...

Stephen Jackson played at the same time as Gore, and was likely a better RB while his Rams teams were worse than Gore’s 49ers teams. The difference between the two is that Gore has managed to be productive for many years in his 30s, while Jackson seemed to lost “it” at age 30.

Cal Ripken won two MVPs and made 19 All Star games, I dare say that he is not an appropriate comparison for Frank Gore for anything other than longevity.

Really Cowboys, you couldn’t pony up a 5th to beat that offer? Take out one big play by Tavon Austin where the CB tripped on his own feet and we’d be in Week 2 of “Dallas has no wide receivers” takes.

Frank Gore has had a remarkable career, and what he’s accomplished past age 30 defies everything we “know” about the career spans of NFL RBs. However...

I mean...his franchise tag this year would make him the highest paid RB in football.  I get that he wants a long term deal while he’s still in his prime, but I don’t exactly fault the Steelers for not wanting to commit 5 years/75 million to him.  They franchised him to get one more year, he said “no thanks,” and I’m

Every female pop star on the radio has insane range and can hit twelve different octaves over the course of a song. Meanwhile, every male pop star sounds like they just took a dozen Ambien and started singing with a mouthful of fucking lasagna.

You probably want to switch to a strength cycle, fewer reps (3-6) at heavier weights. Do that for a few months, then switch back to what you’re doing now (lower weight and more reps).  And make sure you get plenty of protein shortly after your workout, drink lots of water, and get lots of sleep.

Yes, assuming 8-8 counts as “well” for the Jags.

Can we leave Aziz Ansari out of this?
