Hey now, we were swept by the Lakers, but took TWO games from the Spurs! That series was objectively close, we just all knew in our heart of hearts that the Spurs would win in the end.

GO FUCK YOURSELF AND BURN IN HELL!!!
I mean, I said *at least* arguably. There have been more efficient 3 point shooters, albeit guys who can’t do much/anything else (think Kyle Korver in his prime). Steph’s certainly the greatest 3 point shooter of all time among truly great players. I mean, I guess you could argue for Ray Allen based on volume, but…
Hmmm...I certainly don’t disagree about the basketball part. As for the shimmy...it bothers me mostly because he’s taunting opponents while playing on a loaded team. Like, he plays with another HOFer, two more All Stars, and a former All Star who is now an overqualified 6th man. Doing a silly little dance after big…
Ha, the Nets. RESPECT OUR BACK TO BACK NBA FINALS PARTICIPATION TROPHIES IN 2002 AND 2003!!!
No need to wait: The Warriors are still the best team in basketball, I also don’t like it when the same team wins all the time, and I hope someday a frustrated opponent pulls down Curry’s shorts when he does his lame “shimmy” move.
In that case congratulations on your star whoring. And enjoy that Warriors bandwagon.
Ah, I see you’ve decided to take one part of my post out of context and double down rather than admit you misread my point.
I find Harden’s “cooking” goofy but somewhat enjoyable. It also feels a lot less like “taunting your opponent when you play with three other superstars on a loaded team.” I like fun but that specific celebration is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Here are the first 5 words of my post:
Thank you for defending my post better than I was able to...
He has a slight frame and a history of ankle issues, so there’s that. But he’s at least arguably the greatest 3 point shooter in NBA history, and that skill seems like it will age well.
Dude, where in my post did I state I hate the way they play? They are very, very good at basketball and on an objective level I enjoy how they play basketball.
Counterpoint: While remarkable to watch, it is infuriating when Steph goes into “can’t miss” mode. And his “shimmy” is one of the most obnoxious little celebrations in all of pro sports, and makes me want the Warriors to lose even more than I already do.
One is not truly a Deadspin writer until your first “thing that everybody loves actually sucks” article. Congratulations, Shawn, you are IN!
I can’t wait for the charges to be dropped, and then for Goodell to suspend him for 6 games anyways.
Nick Markakis deserves no such thing.
Well played. I should have qualified that with “any non-center” I’ve ever watched...
Really, we’re going to complain that Lebron, who is the victim of more uncalled fouls than any player I’ve ever watched play basketball, is going to get away with too many fouls of his own?
Equating Andy Samberg to Adam Sandler is a bad take. Saying Bill Hader isn’t funny ought to be a war crime.
