“Honestly, I find myself wondering why the hell we’re still fighting over straight cis men (arguably the most unimpressive of our species) in the year 2023"

Thanks for another Henry Ford Musuem article. I found it interesting how that museum not only has the chair Lincoln was assassinated in but also the JFK assassination car. It’s not just a car museum that most people think about. Also, Greenfield village is a wonderful place to go. I like to see the antique auto show

Wyoming/Michigan?

You think journalists can just go grab whatever picture they want off the internet? Lol.

you understand that to do that would require them to acquire new licensing for a one off image which would likely need to go through a buying department and take multiple days...instead of just using the image library they already have a license for and getting the article out in a timely manner. Journalism requires

Kick rocks with this stupid “gaslighting” BS. They say it in the clip itself. It can be and is about both climate change and personal health. That’s the case any time you’re carbon/fossil fuel. Even moreso when you’re burning that carbon in your home.

Whew, that is a blast from the past. These days, Star Wars fans seem to have a stranglehold on these sorts of histrionic, self righteous rage posts. Seeing Trekkies posting them again takes me straight back to the BBS days of my youth, far more than seeing the TNG crew back in uniform.

You’ll make it. Maybe. I mean the possibility isn’t 100% that you’ll survive the existence of a tv show - but it’s hard to say with any confidence that you’ll be OK if you can find out that Majel Barrett’s voice - which hasn’t been used since Voyager (except for 1 word in Enterprise and the holodeck on Prodigy) -

This, it is probably significantly cost prohibitive to make AI versions for likely only a couple lines of dialogue per episode (if that, I can barely remember even a few examples of the Computer in TNG) than just casting a voice actor.

Yes, I am just pointing out there are a myriad of reasons it could not work or sound convincing other than your incredibly dramatic ‘They are deliberately trying to destroy Star Trek’.

Or we could let other voice actors have their time to shine? Why do we have to keep the same computer voice to honor the past of Star Trek? There are many other, better ways to do that. Especially since there is a logical reason for this change with the different time lines.

Honestly, this reads as someone who hasn’t

I was about to say that they could use Rebecca Romijn, since she plays Una in Strange New Worlds and Majel Barrett played that character originally, so there’s an in-canon reason for them sounding the same. But then I remembered that Jess Bush plays Nurse Chapel in SNW, which was also originally Barrett’s character,

I’d like to be the first to point out that the article is about Breath of the Wild, but the lead photo is of Skyward Sword. Edit: I see others in the gray already mentioned it, hat tip to them.

That Stacey Abrams cameo was equally as cringe as when they name dropped Elon Musk in Season 1 of Star Trek discovery. It was also the moment when I knew that Discovery had no chance of redeeming itself. Discovery Season 4 and Picard Season 2 is definitely some of the worst Trek in the franchises history. That would

I’m at the point now where I’d rather enjoy the show and not talk to it about anyone. I love Star Trek, but I hate the Star Trek fandom.

Compared to Rise of Skywalker, The Last Jedi was Citizen Fucking Kane.

I mean no offense to Patty here, but if WW84 was any indication of the direction you wanted to take things, well... I have to say that, for once, I’m siding with the WB brass on this one.

Dude drives 160 miles a day.

I refuse to let your “facts” mess with my conspiracy theories.

I’m not sure if there has been any mention of the Matilda Musical, but I came across a clip and it actually looks really good. And hey, it’s scifi
